Wishing You All The Best For The Festive Season

2011 has been a busy but challenging year. The global financial upheavals have continued to have effects on both our national and local economies. Confidence has been weak but there are definite signs of improvement.

This year we have continued our range of activities to enhance our business and assist the community, including:

  • Craig Inder and Paul Maskell undertook a series of client presentations on Wills, Estate Planning and Family Trusts;

  • Chris Lynch and Toni van Doorn undertook a presentation to local real estate agents on Property matters;

  • Paul Maskell and Sharon Nicholson attended at Erin Park Resthome & Hospital for a presentation on Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney;

  • Greg Stringer continued as a member of the New Zealand Law Society Standards Committee;

  • Chris Lynch continued as a Trustee of the Manurewa Community Facilities Trust and a Board member of the Counties Manukau Cricket Association and legal adviser to Lions Clubs District;

  • Paul Maskell was appointed by the Governor General on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice to the newly created Legal Aid Tribunal which is a judicial body responsible for reviewing decisions of the Legal Aid Commissioner. Paul’s appointment is for a three year term;

  • Julian Airey, Felicity Grey, Sharon Nicholson and Paul Maskell continued involvement with the Citizens Advice Bureau;

  • We presented the 2011 Inder Lynch Achievement Awards with our $10,000 contribution to deserving pupils of our local secondary schools. For details of this year’s Awards, click here.

We wish you a Happy Holiday. For us it will be a well-deserved break. We hope that it will be a prosperous New Year for all.
